Our COVID-19 surface testing and reporting services provides an opportunity to assess the need for cleaning and to document whether cleaning and disinfection has been performed properly. The best sampling areas to include in the test are surfaces that are likely to be frequently touched, e.g. door handles, stair railings, keyboards, phones tables etc. In particular, indoor areas where potentially infected people may have been should be tested before returning to those areas.

At Enviro Force, we have two methods of surface testing available:

Laboratory Testing

Swabs are collected on site by our technician and sent to a NATA accredited laboratory. The swabs are analysed for all SARS related Coronavirus and comes back positive or negative. If positive, a second test will be undertaken to specifically detect for COVID-19. An effective clean should not reveal any coronavirus particles. There is a two-day laboratory turn around (not including reporting).

ATP Testing

Swabs are collected on site by our technicians and instantly testing for the presence of ATP. ATP is an energy molecule found in all plant, animal and microbial cells. ATP systems do not detect viruses directly, however COVID-19 contains biological material that will be detected by an ATP system. Again, an effective clean will have destroyed all biologically material. This method provides instant results (not including reporting).
