Workplace Asbestos Surveys
Work Safe require that all managers of a workplace in Australia maintain an Asbestos Register on site which contains information about the site following a large scale Asbestos Survey of the environment. This document needs to be updated every five years. Failure to comply with this regulation can result in a fine of up to $30,000.

An asbestos register is a document with highly detailed information about the location of Asbestos on the site with detailed notes regarding the assessment such as sample numbers, material type and disturbance potential. Non-asbestos items are included making clear the extent of any hazardous materials and areas.
